Under the Biden Administration and a Democratic controlled Congress, we have witnessed one of the greatest foreign policy disasters of our times with the heartbreaking withdrawal from Afghanistan. Over the past year we have seen our Armed Forces degraded, our adversaries emboldened, and the confidence of our allies weakened. Jerry understands that this is the wrong direction. Further, Jerry believes we must approach our diplomatic engagements from a position of strength, not weakness, and present a united front as we support our allies and stand up to our foes, in keeping with the old foreign policy adage “politics stops at the water’s edge.” Additionally, Jerry knows the importance of supporting our service members and veterans and will always work for legislation that benefits those who have sacrificed so much in defense of our rights and liberties. From ensuring that our troops are fully funded and equipped, to reforming the Department of Veterans Affairs and addressing the epidemic of veteran suicides, Jerry will always work for meaningful and innovative legislation to serve those who have served and are currently serving our nation. Jerry believes that taking care of our veterans and service members is both in our nation’s best interest – and simply the right thing to do.
